  • - After passing the end of the Gyeongin Expressway, make a right turn at the Incheon Port Intersection, head for the Second
      Wharf in Wolmido by following the road signs for Wolmido Island, take a ferry for Yeongjongdo Island (15 minutes ride), get

    Yeongjong Grand Bridge with a length of 4.42km is the only bridge connecting Yeongjongdo Island where Incheon International Airport is located and Incheon Jangdo Island. Watching the scenary of foreshore and the sea passing by the window while driving on the wide-open 8 lane road is another treat. Also at night, with various light settings, it has a spectacular night view.
    Yeongjong Grand Bridge Memorial Hall at the bridge entrance is a memorial hall established to advertise the International Airport Expressway, maintain and manage the database of new technique for major roads and bridge construction, and to provide scientific technology education for teenagers.

  • Yeongjong Wharf(Former Town Wharf)
  • 'Tasting' fresh raw fish on the spot
    Former Town Wharf is where you take the first step after getting off the boat from Wolmido Wharf. To the right there is a small fish market, where fresh fishes that were caught at Incheon offshore including flatfish, rock fish, frog flounder, and etc. are showing their freshness. After selecting an acceptable fish, it can be eaten as raw fish on the spot. The 2 lane forest road toward Cheongwon farm from Former Town Wharf is filled with people taking photos during the fall when it is changed into a eulalia forest.

    Yeongjong ? Yongyudo Island's highest peak Mt. Baekunsan has Yonggung temple at the skirts of Mt.Baekunsan for over one thousand three hundred years. Walking up the forest road for about 15minutes, you can see picturesque temple at the mid slope of the mountain, this is the Yonggung Temple. Shilla Dynasty King Mun-Moo 10th year (A.D 670), a monk named Won-Hyo constructed this temple. During Chosen Dynasty 5th year of King Chul Jong(A.D 1854), prince Heung-Sun renamed the temple to Yonggung Temple while renovating the temple. It is also famous for his hand writing of 'Yonggung Temple' plaque in front of the building.
    Also, the giant Zelkova with a width of 5.63m and height of 20m standing along with the temple is also a sight to see.
    Cultural streets of Wolmido Island which attract thousands of people on the weekends have amusement park, cafe street, raw-fish restaurants and other attraction in harmony, along with various performances during the weekend. Especially people continuously visit to see the burning sunset entering the sea.
  • Mt. Baekunsan
  • Spirit of Yeongjongdo Island
    Pass the long foreshore like waterway after entering Yeongjongdo Island, Mt. Baekunsan is a located at the left side representing Yeongjongdo Island. It is a mountain of 256m above sea level, not so high or low. It is called as Mt. Baekunsan because it is filled with clouds and fogs in the morning and evening, and said that when the colorful clouds are shone by the setting sun the fairies will come play and drink mineral water. Going up to and down from the summit starting at the entrance will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. At the summit, Yeongjong Grand Bridge, Incheon International Airport and the West sea is opened in front of your sight. The best course is to start off from Yeongjong-dong Town Center and coming back down the same path
  • Yeongjongdo Remains of History, Metal Monument for Yang-Juseong (City Monument No. 13 )

    There are many famous remains from the old in Yeongjongdo. Especially with the military camps, defense camps and other government office, 17 Defense bureau related monuments(Î¯Ýø) still remain. They are all from between the year 1600 to 1800, but Yang-Juseong monument made of metal especially has a high cultural preservation value.
    Height 91cm, width 31cm, and thickness 3cm of Metal Monument for Yang Juseong was built by the citizens to commemorate Yeongjong Cheomjeoljesa Yang-Juseong's effort to repair and preserve Yeongjong temple which was burnt down by the cannon fires of Japanese battleship Unyangho during King Ko-Jong 12th year(A.D. 1875).
    In the year 1984, the 14 monuments spread all over Yeongjongdo have been gathered and managed at the Town Center of Unnam-dong.
